I was wondering if someone might be able to answer a few questions for
me..  What I would like to know is that would upgrading my current system's
video card would allow Nascar racing to run any better.  My current system
consist of the following:
        AMD 486 DX2 66
        8 Megs Ram
Paradise Rocket 1 mb Video Card

This Video Card turns out 40fps in 3DBench.  I am thinking of upgrading
to one of the following 3 cards:
        Stealth 32
Hercules Power the one with the Tseng Chip
        or the Tensen Lighning VLB2
All three have the tseng graphic chip.  But, would the video card swap
really help the choppyness on starts and allow me to run more cars?
Currently I run 26 Cars with road, grass and horizon off.

Thanks,
        Andrew

One suggestion - buy the card from someplace that you can return it to
for a 100% refund.  Preferably CompUSA or Best Buy.

If the card doesn't give you any improvment you can always return it.  If
you already have the Tseng chip set, then don't eexpect much of an
improvment.  I went from a generic VGA card with the Tseng chip set to a
'name' VGA card with the Tseng chip set.  I only gained 0.5 fps in
3d-bench.  Since I bought it from CompUSA, I just took it back for a 100%
no questions asked refund.  :)

Sure mail order may save you $10 - $25 bucks, but you can't return those
cards with no hassle.  To me it is worth the extra bucks just to know
that if it doesn't improve your fps you can always take it back.
