Make sure you're doing the 360 the right way, too.
If you don't follow the direction of the arrow, you won't get credit.
When I was first trying it, like an idiot I was driving up to the
right side of the cones and turning in to the left.
The arrow was clearly showing to do it the other way.

Once you hit the hand brake and get to the 180deg mark, turn the steering
wheel to the left and the car will then finish its 360.
Think about what your car is doing, when you get to the 180deg mark, you
still have the wheel turned to the right, picture that. The car is getting
to the 180 and when it goes to move in the reverse direction (to finish the
360) it is having to fight your front wheels. If you turn the wheels to
the left when you get the 180, you are helping the car to continue in the
correct direction to finish the 360.
Just do what you're already doing, except when you're half way around
(going backwards), don't give it gas, crank your wheel the other
direction, and you should spin right around. If you're doing a
clockwise spin, crank the wheel LEFT at the halfway point. Your front
wheels will do the work to bring you around again. Just make sure you
are going somewhat fast or it won't work.
Also, make sure you rotate in the direction of the arrows, otherwise
it doesn't count! I was doing donuts in between the cones and
couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong until I tried a 360 the
OTHER way and it gave it to me.

Also, I drive in manual transmission mode, and I drop down to 1st gear
and lift off the throttle as I begin my slide, and I *think* I get back
on the throttle near the end of the spin.
Hope this helps a bit -- and I hope you're having as much fun as I am!
Great game, eh? <G>

This helps with the 90 degree turns, too. You see rally drivers do this.
