Does anyone know if there is a 3Dfx version or patch for Screamer-2 by
***?

Thanks,

All Games Network have a link to the next Screamer - Screamer 2 Rally:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

It's 35MB, it's 3D accelerated, it's a french demo, it's worth the download.

I think this demo is taken straight off a demo CD - you may have trouble
loading it.  If I remember correctly, I had to load it onto a Zip disk and
it then installed OK.

There's a 3DFX patch for Screamer 2 at Operation 3DFX (at the moment)

has anyone succeeded in running the Screamer2 3Dfx patch TOGETHER with
the
Thrustmaster T2?  If I have joystick controls defined in the setup, I
don't get past
the intro since neither a key stroke or a joystick move has any effect.
If I put keyboard
controls in the setup, it works fine (what a difference that 3Dfx
makes!) with the keys,
but I want to use my T2!  :(
If anyone gets this working, is it possible to post the CONTROLS.CFG
file from the
S2/CONTROLS/ directory? I think that could maybe solve the problem.

Thanx,
Filip Humble

Has anybody been able to get the Screamer 2 3Dfx patch to work at all?

I get a General Protection Fault with a hex dump when I run it.  I
did a full install to see if that would help, and tried running it
from native DOS, but no success.

Have you configured Joystick or keyboard ? It simply won't work with
analogue joysticks unless they center perfectly. There is a way around this
(See my post further up the tree...)

Is S2_3DFX.EXE a replacement executable for the game, or a patch
program?

S2_3DFX.EXE is a replacement executable for the game. BTW, it worked
from jump on my system without the control problems or error messages
others have written about. The game is pretty darned cool now,
especially with a T2. I'll be going to get an import version of F1RS
from a local store tomorrow so I'll have to put S2 back on the shelf
after tonight. But until then...

It's listed here but I can't seem to connect. It must be really, really
busy.

ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/3dfxmania/patches/s2_3dfx.exe

Good luck.;)

BTW, where is a good F1RS site? I've a chance to pick up an import copy
of F1RS from a local store. I'll post the store for US people after I
get my copy if anyone is interested.
