Screamer II - 3Dfx patch causing crash - anyone know why?

by Felick » Mon, 23 Feb 1998 04:00:00

I recently installed a patch for Screamer II
called "sc3dfx.exe"  It was to install 3Dfx as I
understand it.  What I have found since is though
the game will only run in 3Dfx mode prvided the
keyboard is only used as a control device.  If a
joystick or wheel is selected the game crashes at
the first screen.

Has anyone else found this and is there a known
fix?

Hi,

I think you must use the setup program from Screamer
Rally (? in german Bleifuss Rally) or from 'Bleifuss Fun'
(don't know the english name ...)

You have to use the setup from Screamer Rally.
IIRC I copied the config.dat file from SR\Config to S2\Config
and it worked fine after that.

Cheers
