Game Cards...

Hello...I am waiting for an L4 card to be delivered. the company (ACT Labs
now) is not giving me a specified shipping date. Is there another game card
worth looking into? Surely they must not be the only one on the market. I
would be interested if there was. Thanks...

There are rather old gamecards by CH, Gravis and Thrustmaster. My Diamond
MX300 has a quite good game port - at least it outperforms the CH card.

Now this is a topic that is of great interest to me. Way back when.........I
had a SB16 Value card and put a CH Gamecard 3 along side it after getting
tired of the touchiness of the SB's  gameport. Back then it was a daylight
to dark comparison. I immediately noticed an improvement and fell in love
with the CH card and still use it exclusively to this day.
I have since upgraded to a SBLive Value card long ago and have never even
considered plugging a game cotroller into it's game port. Should I?

It would be nice to get rid of that old ISA iron horse but I just can't
imagine a sound card gameport giving me the satisfaction that old
programable CH card has. Have sound card game ports gotten that good?

{My apologies if this shows up twice. After sending it the first time I
didn't see it and this is something I would REALLY like to have some
feedback on.}

The LIve's gameport is very very smooth. I see no need for a gameport now
that I use the Live, and I used to use the CH gamecard all the time.

Take the CH card out and give it a try, you might be suprised.
