I don't want to write a long boring report ,concise and to the point..that's
me :-)

So here it is...

Driving model is just superb,i drive the Alpine FTC(who doesn't ;-) and the
tarmac bug has gone..!!,and it feels magic to drive fast.

I just drove Finland 1,2 and 3 to try it out and posted PB's within 3 laps
of each and i haven't driven Rally Trophy at all for a month.

The Replay function is a great idea, let down badly by the lack of switching
cameras/views ala GPL/N4,but other than that it's a great addition.(I don't
mind be proved wrong here)

The Co driver comments Enabled/Disabled is a God send.....THANKYOU :-)

Lastly the massive drop in Resource Usage i am seeing is brilliant,i am
using it on my 2nd machine and before i suffered terribly on Swiss Stage 6
in the tunnel,it was like a psychedelic hypnotision in slow mo..now it's
smooth and fast.

Overall,it feels like a much better sim and will get a real pounding from me
for a while :)

Sounds good. Now where does one buy this sim in Canada? I've never seen it
any stores around here.

Should be out around Feb 15 to March 1st.  Just ask your local
Electronics Boutique.

OH MAN!!
I've been waiting for this patch for quite some time! To me, Rally Trophy is
the best Rally game I've played. I've won all the championships and such
already, but I'm definately ready to go at it again with the patch!

It's good that they addressed the co-driver's crappy comments, and I'm also
e***d for the new replay mode!

Lastly, I cannot believe they lowered the system resources! I always thought
this game had the best looking graphics at the best framerate of any game
I've played. I can't wait to see how much more I can crank up the graphic
level now!

The only thing I'm worried about is a NoCD .exe for the new v1.1 since I
prefer to play off my backup copy.

Well, the patch makes those difficult to steer Finland stages a real joy.
Why do you prefer to play off a backup copy, if you don't mind me asking ? What's the diff
? A CD's a CD.

Except when it turns into a coaster.

You can switch camera views with the 0-9 keys just like you could before the
patch. The patch is great, but I must be rusty. I shelved it waiting for the
patch and now I am having some trouble keeping the car pointed in the right
direction.

And that happens often, does it ?  I have 385 music CD's in my collection and possibly
50-60 game disks. All shop bought and out of all of them, 1 is no longer playable. Bob
Dylan, awkward bastard that he is. The only coasters I have are when I've tried burning
Safedisk 2 games !

I also have a large audio collection, and a sub-two year old son. Despite
all the care in the world and eternal vigilance, I now have somewhat more
than one coaster. Additionally, an audio CD may still be playable with only
minimal distortion despite being damaged with multiple bit errors - with a
data CD a single error can render the CD useless.

I've only bought a few games, and out of those, 2 Cd's got scratched
somehow. It's just really easy for me to take 3 minutes and make myself a
copy of anything I buy before I use it.

I also do the same thing for all music CD's that I buy, since I work at a
radio station my CD's get kinda tossed around a bit.

redTed> as I was explaining earlier, I seem to have bad luck when it comes
to games on CD. I've lost a few (got scratched on the top somehow), which I
had to re-buy.  It's just really easy for me to make a copy of it in 4
minutes than it is to worry about having to buy a new one.

As for music CD's, I've lost a pretty damn good amount of those to scratches
and such. That's because I work at a radio station though, and my CD's get
kinda tossed around (by me). So I just make it a point to copy everythign
when I buy it.. it's like my own little insurance plan.

Fair 'nuff.  I see your point. I don't have any kid's yet, but my niece had an adventure
with a tube of  Super Glue a couple of years ago that still gives me nightmares. No Cd's
were damaged but the furniture didn't fair so well !

Just curious,

Isn't there like a difference in wear between a CD that's only "spun-up"
each time you start to do a validation check for the copy-protection and a
music CD that might be spinning around for hours on end..... ?

Have you also noticed Super Glue will instantly stick to anything *except*
the object one's attempting to re-assemble?

Probably.

But I was thinking more along the lines of damage caused by constant
handling, such as swapping out the CD in order to play a different game, or
damage caused by junior trying to be helpful.
