Hi

I tried running the game with TNT
and D3D patch and found the only improvement
was resolution
and little else.

No improvement in terms of textures etc ?
Framerate did stay on the high side regardless
of view

did you guys see anything more than that ?
wonder if anyone with a Gforce card could put
up a screenshot ??

Thanks and regards

The mirrors are much improved and the OpenGL patch made things a
little blurry.

Yup. I had something in my mirrors for the first time ever. All I
had before was a grey spot...

Thinks this is a *nice* patch...

Is there any other point besides the frame rate improvement? I mean I
went from sub 30s to 35-36 all the time at 1024*768. I could care less
if I could see anything more, I just want to see the important things
that are needed to race at 36FPS. With the highest resoulouting
possible, in order to see the stopped cars.

if you think graphic has little more than eye
candy, then try running the game with lowest
detail levels

if you are driving in car view, you would miss most
of your braking points and would not be able to gauge
your speed going into a corner

My view is that graphic HELPS  you to drive faster
since it gives you a sense of speed......
AND SENSE OF DECELERATIONS.
