When i use my old geforce drivers with the new patch i don't get any writing
at the menu screens only pictures but when i put in the new drivers (5.22) i
do get all the writing and everything seems fine. Until i try to race and
then after a few laps or sooner the game just freezes. I've had trouble with
these the 5.22 drivers on others games as well. But the earlier drivers
don't seem to work with d3d and gpl.

Just downloaded the new 5.3o drivers and its the same problem, just freezes
while racing

I have a GeForce (Asus V6600) and I still use the Asus 3.75 drivers
because I read about problems with the 5.xx drivers. The patch works
great for me with this drivers, no need to upgrade to 5.xx!

Since you have problems with other games too, your problem is not with GPL,
it's your configuration.
Do you have the latest drivers for your soundcard, motherboard and chipset?

It froze once at Zandvoort when i went off-road bumping. :-)
