Last night while playing NASCAR2, the car started slowing down on different
parts of the tracks. Not on just one track, but a couple. And on these
parts of the tracks when I want to accelerate, it just takes a little bit
before it starts to speed up. Basically, it is just plain sluggish on
certain parts of the tracks. Anyone else had this problem? Thanks

I haven't played N2 but it sounds like a controller problem - I've had similar
on other games. You can tell by going into a calibration option on any game and
seeing if the pointer is steady. If it spikes a lot it's probably a dirty or
faulty (ie old) potentiometer. Try cleaning the pots on your controller with an
electronics cleaning agent (apparently not WD40). Otherwise try relacing the
pots if you can get at them.

Are you sure that "auto-brake" is not on??  press "<alt> B" to cycle it.
