Can't seem to get trailing throttle oversteer in the GTi FWD . . . Shouldn't
this be rather easy?

I remember once getting severe TTO in my parents' Jetta and the experience
was so scary that I quickly learned proper FWD cornering technique & have
not done it since!!!

Faster-than-light travel is indeed possible, though research into economical
methods has been systematically suppressed by headlamp manufacturers
and their agents in the Congress.

Well - I think this car's basically a 1.4 Fiesta.

I have a 1.1 Fiesta - And the only time it's oversteered is in a turn,
lifting off heavily. The weight goes to the front right, which unloads the
back which can then come round.

Yes, thats possible todo in the game, i use it on some
corners on rallycross. The one after the long straight seems a good place
for this

Ryan,

Yes it should and no I'm not either. This product has potential but is
still way off in terms of real-life handling. I've tried it in some
depth and have had communication with the developers on it
(where I praised them for what is great about the product but also
stated my views on the physics). Having raced a FWD Fiesta in
the Willhire 6hr endurance race at Snetterton on Saturday and in
2 races at Brands on Sunday I had a pretty good idea what to
expect from the handling of the FWD car.

There is so much that is good about it that I hope they can
sort out the physics.

The right hander off the tarmac intot he dirt again? - I like that one

Getting slowed down for the right-left back onto the tarmac again is very
difficult at the end of that one

Yeah thats about the only time ive gotten a fwd to slide.. apart from
handbrake :). The best place to get a bit of a drift is the esses before the
start finish, really effective if you do it just a little bit, but with
these cars because they are so under powered neat is sweet....

Just had a few awesome online races with the GTI's, absolute blast.
Sometimes i even go to wave my hand at people when im passing them for a
joke, only to realise they cant see me! Thats what i call being immersed
(however u spell it) in a game! Top job guys, want a beta tester?

Please share some more of your observations with us here, Maxx.  Glad to see
you're back at it on the track; how'd the race weekend go, anyway?  ;-)

I'd thought LFS simulated FWD pretty well, myself, but it's been a while
since autocrossing my old Scirocco.  The LFS GTI did seem to respond
accordingly to some of the old setup tricks, and I could get the tail out a
bit on lift throttle and bring it back with some right foot.  Since evolving
to mid-engine cars for my jollies, my recollection of FWD TTO is that is was
SO benign... ;-)

Cheers,

SB
