LFS Turbo?

LFS Turbo?

Does the turbo in LFS actually do anything? Say if im at 3000rpm with 2lb of
boost, will it have the same power if i was at 3000rpm with 8lb? I think
that its a little inaccurate that it takes untill 3rd gear to reach max
boost, when normally, especially with only 12lb of boost, it will reach full
boost by 3000 revs or so. Still great tho!

Luke, that gauge probably reads "bar"s of boost, i.e. kg per cm square.

Actually i dont think it would be running 12bar (168lb) of boost, but what i
was asking is the turbo just a gimmick or is it acuratley modelled with real
power lag.

I can feel the turbo lag in turn 1 of the road curcuit. It takes about a
second before the turbo is up to speed and it will give you a slight kick.
So I would say it isn't a gimick, there really is a turbo although not a
huge one so the kick is minimal. When combined axis work I'm sure some
people will keep a little throttle in it to keep the turbo spinning so they
will really shoot out of turn 1.
