Will 'clear records' on the Best Laps screen clear all my hard-earned
fastest laps, or simply set the record laps to the default values, thus
ridding my version of GPL of several strange, online-collected ultra quick
laps? (i.e. 7.46 secs for Monza!!)

It'll clear your personal track records. Each track folder (I think) has
a record.ini file. This is where those warp laps are stored. You can
just edit it in notepad and remove it.

In fact, I simply deleted that file and GPL re-created (the original) when I
went back to that track.
