Mounting the Act-Labs shifter ?

        does anyone have some pics of how this device should be
mounted?  All I got in the box was a 10inch long metal strip with a
2inch by 2inch *** square on it and a C bracket,, presumably for
mounting the metal strip unto the table without drilling holes.. But
how the hell does the shifter attach to to the desk ?

The normal way of mounting the shifter is to attach the 10 inch bracket to
the shifter and then clamp the bracket beneath your wheel.  There is an
example of this shown in my review of the shifter at:

I didn't find this very satisfactory so made myself a mounting bracket which
