LOL!!! Three times yesterday, I was able to vault the track fence and take a
tour of the track perimiter. The spectators don't seem to pay much attention
though....
I've found it really interesting to be able to drive around the trees and
buildings and see how designers implement 3D effects.

How to get rid of censorship in German game releases

Joe,
Check out the APEX site at http://gpl.gamestats.com . There are some great
replays there.
To submit a crash replay to the APEX, here are John's
instructions:(IMPORTANT:must be followed EXACTLY!)
Please use the replay cut option to trim the replay to only cover your one
fast lap, you crash (with 5 seconds leading up to the crash), or your best
save (with 5 seconds leading up to and after your save). To use the feature
click on the button that looks like a diagonal film reel. The first time you
click the button it will mark the beginning of your clip. Make sure you
click on the button for the first time at the begging of the scene you want
to save. Fast forward or play the replay until you get to the end of your
lap, crash, or save and then click on the button again. The second time you
click on the button it will prompt you for a file name. For fast laps name
the file as follows WatX_XX_XX, where X_XX_XX is your lap time. So for a
1:10.34 lap you would name the file Wat1_10_34. For crashes name the file
first with CRSH then with your initials and the date such as CRSH_JO4_6_98.
For spins name the file first with SPIN then with your initials and the date
such as SPIN_JO4_6_98. If you have several spins or crashes in the same day
add a,b,c etc. to the end of the name.
Once you have the clipped replay zip it up using a Winzip or Pkzip. Also
include in the zip a text file with a short description of your fast lap,
crash, or save to better explain your replay. Also include your name,
County/State, and driving controller in the text file if you want credit for
your deed <g>. Make sure you name the zip file the same name as your replay
file.
Once you have the replay and text file zipped up into one package E-Mail it
Glad to help,

Send it to The APEX GPL site. http://gpl.gamestats.com
Thanks

+AD4APg-I sent a replay to the APEX GPL site, where I jumped ON the fence, and

+AD4-I have a replay of a STUNNING crash in the high+AD0-speed left turn (t5 or
+AD4-6). I skidded just far out enough that my right front wheel caught the
+AD4-end of the gaurd rail, at top speed. Five flips, three 360 degree
+AD4-spins, bouncing over the gaurdrail, down into a ravine and bouncing
+AD4-back up out of it ... it was the most spectacular and realistic

Go to the Appex and Ask John to post it he most likely will. He's a pretty cool
guy. :)

By the way, the original spectator-car-tunnel at the Glen (past the top of
the hill, still there) was meant to be semi-circular in crossection (built
from 1/2 of a big drain-pipe), but somehow it got partly crushed when it
was installed and it's somewhat "egg shaped"...

Joe,
Don't know what Byron is on... the clipping feature works fine in the demo..
Instructions have been posted earlier, but here it is again:
- After you have completed a fast lap, press "Escape" to get back to the
replay screen.
- It is best to press "Pause", as the replay will continue in real time,
eating up valuable RAM
- Rewind to the beginning of the where you want the clip to start (or a few
seconds before)
- Pause the clip
- Press the "Clip" button (the one with the diagonal thingy through it) to
START the recording of the clip
- Fast Forward or Play to the end of the desired clip
- Press the "Clip" button again to END the recording of the clip. You will
be prompted to enter a file name.
Easy as pie..
Glad to help,
doktorB

>Joe
Oh yeah, you might want to "Pause" before hitting "Clip" the second time
around, otherwise the clip will keep recording until you have typed in the
file name when saving..
