Watglen.dat

        I created a new directory (C:\sierra\trackdat\), Copied the Watglen.dat
to that directory,  copied the Pack.exe and unpack.exe files to there,
and the GPLMip.exe to the same directory.       I started MS dos and typed..
C:\sierra\trackdat <E> unpack watglen.dat.  From there, the dat file was
unpacked.

I started up GPLMip.exe and converted a mip file to a bmp file.  I then
edited the bmp file and "save"d it using the paint brush program that
came with Win98.  I started the GPLMip.exe application again and
converted the new bmp file to a mip file.

        I started MSDos and typed C:\sierra\trackdat <E> pack watglen.pck

I expected to be packing the pck back to a dat. but what happened was
that I got an error message (cant remember what it was).  I also noticed
a new file in this directory.. "_"  Nothing more then an underscore.
I'm unable to delete this file.

First, has anyone else had this happen? second, what has happened?
Third, what can I do to get this to work?
