122.597 Mph at N2 WatGlen - Any good?

Hi.

Just wondering what the standard was at the road courses in N2.

Spurred on by MM's *** at the 'Point, I had a quick half an hour
test and improved my time, or speed to 122.597 Mph. I haven't seen any
talk on 'Glen speeds for N2 that I can remember. So i'm not sure
whether I should be pleased with this or not :)

This was set at the constant 70 degrees heat in testing, Ford chassis
and a setup I derived from the ACE setup. I was also using a CH Mach3
joystick.

Also, after reading about the amazing specifications I often see in
this NG, you may be interested to know I did this is on a machine that
only displays car, smoke, lines and textured brake markers in *VGA*.
My hat goes off to the guys at Papy. Hopefully this proves that you
don't need a great PC to get good times as long as the framerate is
fluid. I hope others with lesser specs feel the same.

Anyway, the replay can be found at my AI stats/skill page at:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/~pegasus/nascar2/

or grab the file straight from:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/~pegasus/nascar2/fastwg1.zip

I may have a bash at Sears next and would be interested in what people
are getting up to here? 91.5Mph?? or higher?

Thanks

If that is driven with a full tank on the first complete lap (70
degrees, no wind) then I personally think it is fast (others might not
agree with me <g>!).

Closing on to 93mph in qualifying (slowly but surely, though). Again
this is just me speaking not the whole world.

You're welcome.

Greetings,
