For those who are unaware of this, the track expansion disks for
NASCAR Racing from Papyrus will be available on May 16.  Also, IndyCar
Racing 2.0 is tentatively scheduled for a 4th quarter release.

Do you have any info about new tracks, ie. C***te, Daytona, Indy....?

Here's to readers of British *** magazines: Has there been any
indication when Nascar Track Pack will be released in Europe?  I'm
hoping for the best, since the release dates of Nascar Racing in US and
Europe were only couple of weeks apart.

I haven't read this group for a while, so excuse the question, but last
I heard Papyrus said 'no ICR 2.0'. Whats the deal? Is this just an
upgrade to ICR1.05 (presumably with the NASCAR graphics engine), or a
whole new game? And whats the cost?

Cheers

IndyCar Racing 2.0 (the name is still tentative) is an upgraded version of
IndyCar Racing. It uses the NASCAR graphics engine, and will be Papyrus'
first cross-platform game. It will be released simultaneously for DOS,
Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Macintosh.

Sears Point is about 3 times as difficult as Watkins Glen (IMHO).
(They raced there a week and a half ago; the average lap speed at about
the 3/4 point of the race was 71 MPH.)

As far as I know US only.

Probably similar to a Patch if not a patch..

It's a serious road course... Gunna be harder to negotiate than Watkins
Glen.

Good Luck in the UK,

Actually, I've seen them go three wide through the tri-oval in a sim race.  Of
course I wasn't able to do it safely because I couldn't really see the cars
around me (I drive inside the car, not outside in arcade mode)  Perhaps if I
decided to work on getting used to Nascar Racing in that mode I'd be able to
do it, but then it would lose it's sim appeal for me.

The way I see it, I cannot drive through there in a pack of three wide because
I am not an accomplished Nascar Driver... I'm a virtual driver in a PC sim.

representation of the Talladega track?  I noticed that the real folks

The trioval can be taken three wide, but not flat out and three wide.

Now the question: Do real world nascars take the trioval flat out in
these conditions, or do they lift off?  I haven't seen incar footage with
telemetry readings from Talladega, so I don't know (Eurosport shows
each race compressed into one hour format).

The tri-oval looked bit different in tv footage, but it is quite
difficult to compare computer simulation represention to tv image (just
check any track, it looks different in tv screen or picture compared
to reality).

Nope, from what I've seen in tv coverage they do not lift up... they go
through the trioval flat out. The simulator track has a definitely
tighter trioval.

Picked up my copy 5/19/95 at Electronic Botique

It requires 15 meg of HardDisk space as it creates the tracks on your
hard drive.

:  Its good to see another road course! What's Sears Point like?

Sears Point is like a REAL road course should be Twisty and up and down.
If you didn't like Watkins Glen, you'll HATE Sears Point.  However, if
you want a GREAT road course -- THIS IS IT!

Did some practice runs at Dover and it seems as if the "EASY" yellow was
fixed on this track.  I had quite a few fender rubbing situations with
Jeff Gordon.  We both got a little out of shape and checked up to gather
it back in and NO Yellow flag.  I even lost it once and smacked the
inside wall, damaging my front left.  I gathered up back up and still no
Yellow.

Well it can be done in the sim.  You need to set your car up right and
lift "slightly" on the throttle if you want to squeeze another car into
the dogleg.
