Indy Car 7 Track Expansion Disk 2 problem

Well, I bought the Indy track and the 7 track set for ICR.  There
seems to be a problem with the install program for the 7 track set.
When the setup program prompts you for disk 2, it looks for something
and the pops up a window that says "Wrong Disk.  Insert disk 2".
There is nothing wrong with my disk 2.

I found that you can manually install the tracks.  Go to the
IndyCar/Tracks subdirectory and make a directory for each track on
disk two.  Make sure that the directory names are the same as the self
extracting file names on disk two.

Then switch to the floppy and (if you're installing Detroit for
example) type:

        Detroit c:\indycar\tracks\detroit\

and it will extract the track stuff to the proper directory.  Note:
the last back slash is REQUIRED or it will preface each file name with
Detroit (or what ever track name/directory you're installing).

When I first tried to load one of the manually installed tracks, my
machine bombed.  I just re-booted and everything's fine.

Anybody know why the install program bombs on disk 2?

I'm not sure what the problem is, but I had the same problem and
installed the track by hand.  Works fine.

=========================================

Yes, there seems to be a disk recognition problem, Papyrus is aware of
this.  Interestingly I bought one of the first batch and did not have this
problem.

Yeah, I bought the expansion disks early also, and installed with no
problem.

Must've been a virus at the disk-duplication site. :-)

I believe that mine is 1.0

One other thing, I tried ftp'ing to the address they have in the back
of one of the track books.  My site couldn't resolve the host name.
Has anybody gotten through to Papyrus through ftp?  If so, do you have
their IP address?  Maybe there's an update available.

The Papyrus BBS can be reached by ftping ftp.std.com.  This address works for
me.  The updated versions of ICR and utilities can be found under the directory
/vendors/papyrus.
