N2 Network Help!

I have two computers Networked-IPX,when they connect the dial one will hang
after the latency,How'dy to car ect...It says it is connecting to the right
track at bottom but it hangs right there.I dont know much about Networks and
need some info.Also whats the Subnet pings? Thanks for any help!!
