N2 Network help?

Does anyone have any experience with running N2 on a server? Papy sure
doesn't:(

I do not know if you have to load the program on each work station or if
you can run it once
off the server. Also, I wonder if you can load the whole cd to the
server drive and get by without
loading the cd?

I sent this below to Seirra and they said that they had not tested this
setup and did not know.
I will load it any way that will work. I hope someone can help me with
the details.
Any response would be appreciated:)

I am trying to get Nascar2 setup on my novell server. The cd is on the
server. I was able to map the drive to H: and loaded the minimum
installation thru DOS on my work station. I made a boot disk that loaded
the mouse and logged into the server and maped the cd to drive H: When
the
game loads it comes back with a error of no sfx files and it reboots to
dos. It will play the intro, so I know that it is seeing the drive. Do
you know what would be going on? I have done a complete install and it
worked ok. I need the space on my drive. Is it ok to run multi player
from the server cd? or will it run if I load the complete cd to the
server?

N2 must be installed to a writable area on your disk. This implies
that it cannot be on a CD, nor can it be on a shared server volume.
(Well, it can be, but if multiple users attempt to access it at the
same time, they'll walk all over each other...)

PS: I know it's not at all intuitive, but tech support is done on the
West Coast, by Sierra folks, because they can do it for way, way less
money than we could do it in Papyrus-land (East Coast) However, this
means that tech support is more likely to be able to help with
"standard" configuration-type questions, and less likely to be able to
answer the more esoteric questions...

Toney - you don't need a server to run NASCAR II multiplayer; just an
installed  copy of the game for each system which is running.  The game is
sold as a "one machine / one player at a time" game - IE, you should
purchase a copy for each machine the game is running on simultaneously -
however, you will only need the CD in the drive for the machine which is
hosting the game.
