Sound in GPL was definitely one of Papyrus better efforts, but the
downloadable sounds from the 'net are' IMO, way better than the
originals. The originals sound a bit weak except for the Ferrari.

CPR did miss a good link between pitch and rpm, but to an extent the
turbo masks the sound (as it does in real life) as it spools up and
down. I don't know however if this is actually modelled in CPR or is
just fortunate coincidence! Sounds good though, nice meaty sound.
Whether it's real or not is a moot point but it sounds like WE think a
racecar should, and perception is more important than reality in the
majority of cases.
