Keeping AI cars on the track?

In Nascar 2002 is there a way of preventing the AI cars from dissapearing
from the track after they are disabled in an accident? I'd like to try
getting some big pile ups going, Days of Thunder style, but it's a *** to
do when they keep vanishing.

ooooh don't go online with that idea!!
There probably is a line within an ini file that describes how long stuff
stays in view.  Wouldn't know where to look tho...good luck

I don't think you have been able to do this with Papy sims since Indy 500. Now
there were some BIG pile ups :) A showering mass of triangles visible down the
straight as you exited a turn all in glorious 320x200. I thought it was great!

I think it totally ruins a sim when there's a spin, a crash or a pile
up and before you know it the cars involved have been removed from
track. If Papy are interested in making a sim as realistic as
possible, from the official rules to a 3D pit crew, they should also
include the option to keep debris on the track.

I'm not too worried about the slow down it might cause as there are
always was of compensating for that.

Since Papy went Nascar only then I guess we have to put up with no
debris on the track or face a yellow due to a crisp packet having blown
onto the track from the stand to ensure a spectacular finish :)
