We at The Pits have been working feverishly on our projects, however,
we are pleased to report that we will have updated AI for all the converted
road courses in the near future.
BTW....for those of you who haven't visited in awhile, we've started the No
Piracy
Network. The reasoning behind this is that as sim racers, we should take
care
of the fact that some people with less scruples than others like to post
illegal
software on their pages and the net. The Pits has decided to start a
network of
sites, who will all take steps as one to stop pirating individuals. This
includes
people who steal other's freeware programs and flog them as their own. We
will
take action against these individuals by notifying them by email, then if
they do
not desist, email their ISPs until they remove their site. We will not
stop at that,
as we will also forward site's URLs to game publishers, and the FBI and
SPO.
We will also remove links to sites that do choose to distribute pirated
software/tracks, ect. If you wish to join, please do! Check out the page
at http://www.racesimcentral.net/
If you have an incident to report, you may report it anonymously to me by
email.
The reason we have decided to come down *** software piracy is because
as a whole, this group, and URLs for racing sim sites has become rampant
with
illegal software. We do not wish for the image of sim racers to be one of
people
who will stop at nothing to steal whatever they can. As well, at the
moment, people
who write freeware utilities are defenseless against people who wish to
take their
stuff. No more. There is no reason that anyone who has taken time to
write a
utility, design graphics, ect, should have to suffer at the hands of people
who are
too lazy to sit down and take the same time that they did. As of this
moment,
freeware/graphics designers are also protected by the No Piracy Network.
We are talking racing sim utilities here folks...don't email me with the
location
of every pirate site on the net. We're not here for that.
Last but not least...Dave Noonan has come on board as a sponsor for The
Pits.
Since this has happened, we are able to distribute his utility for a great
break
in price, $15. All future updates will be sent to individuals who get the
converter.
1 Aug is the date we are going to release our next project, which has the
implications
of being the best thing out since N2. We hope you all enjoy it!
Cheers!
