GPL: Logitech FF wheel & CH pedals?

Can I use the Logitech FF wheel and CH pedals (instead of the Logitech
pedals) in GPL without cutting any wires?  Anybody know how to set this up?

Many thanks for any and all responses!

You can easily remove the wiring harness from the Logitech pedals, the wires
just plug in, and replace the wiring in the CH pedals with it. Make short
extension wires using the same type connectors used on the pots and wiring
harness so you don't have to cut into the LWFF wires. The whole process
takes about 30 minutes.

There is a more detailed explaination on Alison's site. Go to Help,

GPL: Logitech FF wheel & CH pedals?

This is quite easy:

- Plug the ch pedals in the normal joystick gameport
- the pedals only work if something is attached to it, so attach an
old wheel or any old joystick to the pedals (attach it on the joystick
connector ofcourse)
- in joystick properties make a custom joystick with 4 axes and
calibrate.
- insert the lwff to the usb port
- in joystick properties select it as a second joystick

Hope this helps, it's very simple, the only thing that caused problems
first was the fact that there has to be a joystick connected to the
pedals. I didn't know that first.

I actually have my CH pedals working with my Logitech without anything
plugged into the Y connector on the CH pedals. I just created a custom 2
axis controller, and loaded two copies of it, with the LT wheel at ID 1.
Works fine for GPL, but suspect it wouldn't with anything else.

Hmm... Do you have the normal CH pedals or the CH Pro pedals?

I have the non-Pro CH pedals, but I doubt if there is any difference in how
they behave. I found I had to have two copies of the custom 2-axis
controller, and that the wheel had to be at ID 1. One of the two controllers
always says "not connected", but if I delete it, then the pedals aren't
connected at all. The second copy always says "OK".

The pedals don't work too well in the Window's test or calibrate window, but
I ignore that, and just calibrate in GPL. Works for me, anyway!
