Just thought you'd like to know that Indy II is going to be a Windows 95
game. Opinions?

They said that the game would come with DOS and Windows (can't
remember if it was 95 only or what) on the same CD.  So, it'll
give an excellent example of how Win 95 can handle a game vs
DOS.  I'd prefer the game to be runnable from Win 95 since
if games can run just as fast then it would be a huge
improvement over the current situation.  We'll see...

That's right, finally Mac's can be used for something useful.

Good. I take it back. I will buy it for DOS. :-)

For the Mac too? Is there a planned version for OS/2?? Perhaps
someone from Papyrus would care to comment??

Ouch!  That hurt all the way over here... :-)

Of course, DOS is just something I use to load games.  Windows 95 is
just a prettier way to do it.

Yeah, I think it sucks.
I do not want to win95 on my hard drive and would not have to if all
these games were not coming out for it. I may be saved if someone
writes a joystick driver for windows nt.

M$ knew that win95 would not go over on the corporate desktop so they
added all this game ***so it would at least go over for the home
user.

jim ( who is looking for 50 free megs on my hdd to install win95 :( )

They just lost another customer.
I hope, I will never need Windows 95 on my harddisk.

PS: Maybe we get DOS versions when all of us boycott win95 versions :-)

As far as I can remember it will be a Windows95 version in *addition* to the
DOS version. Papyrus is not stupid, systems with DOS OS will outnumber systems
with Win95 for long time after the release of Win95...

It should be great...no more terrible support for my sound card and
video card.

Do you think Ford wants to stay with 16 bit Word 6.0 or use 32 bit
Word 7.0?  Microsoft has gone to great lengths to make sure win95
goes on the 'corporate desktop'.

For the cost of purchasing a PC and games like those from Papyrus,
you should also be able to afford a few more megs.  The May '95
Insight ad shows most brands of 540MB drives at $200.

Don't bet on it. I know developers at a few game companies, and there
is a big push to 'Window 95ize' their games. Common sound and graphics
drivers, less worries about configurations, and built-in network/comm
support.

Gee's, have you ever even tried  Win95. I guess your still content with Wordstar (ie-old outdated software for
old outdated systems running old outdated operating systems), though.
