"Very realistic driving simulation of the formula 1 in the year 1967.
Due its marvelous community it still gets fan updates nowadays.
The game works in OpenGL mode - but the network does not work. You
have to start the application with absolute path and have to set a
"Desktop=..." entry in the wine config file, if the window does not
get the focus. Works since Wine 20020411".

Has anyone got this to work, and if so is it playable?

[1] They do a version of Wine, a package for Linux that allows
Windows programs to be run[2]
[2] Well, not some of the really complicated ones[3]

Hi David, one of our gplrank co-developers got it to work and
finally wiped his windows partition. Everything but net code
works, but that is probably still work in progress. Frame rates
are as good as in windows.

Interesting. I don't think I'll be trying it out for a while, though,
as the net code is the big thing, and in any case I haven't got a
proper modem that works (my US Robotics "winmodem" is fine for GPL -
s'pose I'm just lucky <g>).

I can put you in touch with someone who got it working quite
well, using the CVS version of Wine.

let me know if you're interested and I'll send him mail (he's
one of the gplrank admins, look for "ridcully" in driver search)
