Notice how the number 7 car, the purple one with the Ratbag logo, has
its front wheels turning right while the car is making a left turn?
Sweet. :)

YEAH WOW DUDE... WHO'D HAVE THOUGHT A CAR COULD DO THAT IN A SIM!!!!!!!!!!

Um... Rally sims... GPL... GP2... F1RS... MGPRS2... they can all do this in
varying degrees.

Your point is?

Meiji wrote some ugly sarcasm:

Do you like pissing on other people's unassuming expressions of
delight or are you always so bad-mannered?

That you should grow up - or shut up.

Well it depends on whether "people's unassuming expressions of delight" are
actually worth reading. When I see a posting that puports to be something
special but is actually nothing out of the ordinary I feel hurt, upset,
violated etc and feel obliged to seek my revenge on the cruel world that
created such a posting.

Explain to me exactly why you felt the need to spend a few lines describing
something that every other recent sim does like it was something special?

Well in that case I'll grow up and keep talking if that's all the same to
you. I have so much to share and so little time on this planet to share it
with you all.

Meiji, you've quickly become one of the most obnoxious posters in this
group, and that takes some effort.  Every time I see your name on a post,
I can usually count on ten or twenty lines of insults, sarcasm and
generally b***commentary.  When it comes to flaming, you are
ineffective, only irritating, and when it comes to wit you are about as
sharp as a black crayon (hint - it's the one that gets used a lot).

My take on the original post was that the writer was e***d about the
concept of having to drive the whole corner on opposite lock, thereby
fulfilling his desires (and those of many others) to experience a proper
dirt-tracking experience.  As for other sims that can do it,most of them
seem to fall into the "canned powerslide" genre - if DTR has the car
running opposite lock around the whole corner due to some sound physics
modelling, then I would say that is something to get e***d about.

Enough said.  I say why not get e***d about something - you certainly
get e***d about logging onto the usenet each day to spread a little more
venom.

cheers
Stephen

Well Steve as a flame yours was also pretty***poor but I digress. My
point was that while it's cool ahnd understandable for him to be e***d
but why go on about slides? I failed to understand the e***ment when even
something like Network Q rally had the whole powerslide round corners
thing.

Personally I'm liking the screens too and am enjoying seeing the new ones
posted but I still do not understand the fascination with running
commentary on the blindingly obvious.

Please keep up.

M

p.s.
I'm glad you still read my posts... there's nothing like playing to a
packed house.

: posted but I still do not understand the fascination with running

Like, for example, repeating ad nauseum "Schumacher is not dead, therefore
his accident was not life threatening" while others in the discussion
contributed some worthwhile information from medical science, sid watkins'
commentary, personal experience etc?

Yeah, Meiji, you're a fine example of moderation and careful consideration
prior to posting.

I liked the screen shot. But more importantly we can't let this NG become a
flamefest or a clique. So Meiji, have your opinion, but don;t be harsh to
others. It may be time to start a kill file to keep this NG a good place for
discussion, and on one would want to get on that list. (Me included)
Check alt.2600.warez for an example for a NG gone mad with clique and person
power trips.

Heck, Soda Off Road Racing had that two years ago..:)
It's a shame they didn't develop that sim for the 3dfx crowd, might have
really opened a few eyes.
