And those of us who stayed behind had a pretty rough ride as well didn't we.

1. Executed for speaking our own language
2. Executed for practicing our own religion.
3. Starved to death whilst the British stuffed their faces with our meat.
4. Paid 10 guineas for giving up a priests head minus shoulders
5. Not allowed to vote in our own country right up to 1967

Shame the likes of you have ***ed up my country in the same manner you
managed to***most continents on this planet at one time or another in
history!

Not exactly true. I used to have some modellers working for me and the
"black art" isn't really that black... more kinda grey ;)

In general the conceptual artist provides drawings of the thing to be
modelled and the 3d guy/girl then works on it from there. They rarely, if
ever, go from hi-poly to lo-poly count models because they're just doubling
their workload by making 2 models. Everyone I know works to keep things
below whatever their engine people say classes as lo-poly count. Under 1000
seems to be the call for Quake 3 Arena player models but for cars etc I'd
imagine 1000 polys is a fairly high number. Quake was in the region of a
couple of hundred, tops.

Well as this was announced a long time back it's hardly a shock and why is
it worrying exactly?

Well they're hardly cross portable in terms of coding but the advantages of
PSX programmers is that they're good at making maximum use of the hardware
available so if any did make it into the PC version they may help
streamline the code.

In any case it sounds like a separate team is working on the PSX version to
the PC version.

Either that or it's a tax that was repealed ages ago and replaced with
Council Tax which is what you are actually talking about :P

and which is what I described. Why complicate the issue?

Hardly complicating it, just getting it right... do you still call cars
horseless carriages?

IMO it was easier to simply explain the concept than go into the
history, but of course I didn't factor nit-picking into my
estimations.

Cheers!

History? I just decided to tell people that poll tax is long gone and
wasn't even what you said it is anyway. You described council tax and
called it poll tax... either be accurate in this matter or shut up.

Why are your responses usually so condescending or patronising?  Do you get
a kick out of displaying your vast knowledge?

Bruce, coming from you that's like the pot calling the kettle grimy arse.
I have lost count of the number of smart assed replies I've seen you make
which don't even add any factual information.
