What sort of cable modem security is everybody using? Does this security
interfere with the online racing connections, mainly GPL. I want to get some
sort of security but I'm worried about screwing up GPL.

I use ZoneAlarm, as it is free. It can be set to allow WinVROC to have
access to the Internet and does not interfear with Vroc races at all.
The one thing is if you have it alerting you to every 'attack' then
you might get a window while racing that can mess you up, but this is
fixable by disabling the pop up. I think I may have also setup the
Vroc IP as an acceptable IP address in security.

First off, go here http://www.racesimcentral.net/
info your computer is leaking if any, also run the port tests. Follow
their instructions on closing your ports if any are open to hackers.

I am currently using ZoneAlarm2.0 for a firewall and it's really easy
to use. You can get it here: http://www.racesimcentral.net/
As for ***, I usually shut down the firewall when racing etc as not
to create any problems. It's really easy to use.

I am using a program called "Black Ice Defender"  that came highly
recommended from both people on the compuserve forums and some friends I
know that run servers.  It works well with online ***.
You can check out the product at http://www.racesimcentral.net/; It runs just
under $40.
