Here's the problem. This is crossposted to the sim ng. NFS HP2 is not a sim.
The only people who don't like it are the people who think every racing game
should be a sim. Check the reviews, they're all great for the PS2 version.
This game is awesome.

The demo is doing a very strange thing. My in game view is facing the front
of the car. When I hit the camera button I move closer to the car buy I
can't get the behind the car view. Anyone else having this trouble? Running
'98se, G4 4200, 30.82 drivers. JLc

The NFS series IS a simulation, alebit a bad one at that (apart from NFS5, of course).

Since when did we (RAS) start seeing all these cross posts?  It seems to be
getting pretty bad lately...

I agree. The control and physics can only be described as "sloppy".
This is clearly "portware" - like the XBox and Gamecube version, it
has none of the polish and tithg controls of the PS2 version.

In the demo, or on a PS2? The PS2 version is VASTLY superior to the PC
port.

The PC demo is no where near as good. Feels like a sloppy port, which
is also the word on the XBox/Gamecube versions. Only the PS2 version
got that polish and super-tight control/physics.

Have you tried the PS2 version, or are ya just talkin' out of your
ass?

I've played them both and they feel and drive very differently.

PS2 - Guess I won't bother with the PC version.  Can't understand why they
didn't implement a dashboard view in the options!  Crazy...

I have been playing with the Dual Shock II, but just today I got the Logitech

There is a dashboard on one or two of the cars in some of the later challenges.

Try my suggestions:

http://machf.tripod.com/NFS/

they're basically for GeForce cards, but in the case of TNFSSE they may work for
others too.
