Papyrus' Nascar Racing 2002 Season is currently the finest and most "all
round" competent example of mass produced simracing technology on the PC and
therefore it and all that surrounds it is very much on topic on this group.

Now, kindly, go find another sandbox to throw a tantrum in.

THE sim was released in 1998 and its not about taxi cabs.

BS, NR2002 is superior in every (simulation) respect. You perception of
NASCAR as a sport is keeping you from running Papyrus' finest.

*ouch*.  I have to agree here from a "simulation" POV.  But simracing is
more then just technical I/O, it's also racing, a form of motorsport so
there is evidently some emotion and some correlation between the driver and
it's car/track/environment.

GPL in that aspect, is superior.

a sim without a tire model and without pitting does a better job with that
correlation?

It is very much on topic, at least it talks about sim racing online and has
brought a community together.
I for one very much enjoy reading on the happenings of these guys racing
N2002 online together. It does a lot for the sport.

I don't know why you guys feed them, they are the same 14 yr old kids that
use their Dad's computer, while he is at work, to create Trolls at NGs and
Go to Online Races and Go Backwards wrecking. They disapear for a week when
their Dads find out what they are doing and lock the computer.
They are in it because they create a disturbance, ignore them and they will
go away.
Damm, I just Fed them, and I saw the sign that said not to, I couldn't help
it :-)
