Voodo2 and GPL: Advice needed please!

Voodo2 and GPL: Advice needed please!

by Bruce Kennewel » Sat, 18 Apr 1998 04:00:00

I'm hoping that someone can help me please.....

I've just this minute taken delivery of a new system that uses the
Voodo2 3DFX card.
GPL will not "run" under 3DFX.  It goes into the appropriate screens
where selections and setups can be made but as soon as the car is ready
to leave the pit area there is no control and black patches appear on
the track.

I think that I've read about this effect but cannot find the thread.  Am
I correct in thinking that new drivers or similar are needed?

Advice from those in the know would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bruce.

I think that the latest drivers will fix this situation. See
http://www.3dfx.com or http://www.voodoo2.com.

Bruce,
You are right you need the new reference drivers. Same thing happened
to me when I put in my Voodoo2, install the new drivers and they will
correct the problem. BTW you can run GPL at 1024X760 (?) with V2
Amazing!!!!

The best place to find the newest drivers seems to be www.voodoo2.com . GPL
works great for me with my CL Voodoo2 12MB.
