Is it really possible to run competitive times at Monaco?  I've tried tweaking
the setup and I've practiced for two straight days, but I'm still 10 seconds
off the pole.  The biggest problem is getting through the chicane at high speed
(like the c.c. cars can do).  The margin of error at the chicane seems too hard
to be realistic.  Does anybody have any advice?

What fps do you get at Monaco??

I found with low fps figures, you just cannot get enough control to get
through the chicane at anything like racing speed.

although I'm still way off the pole time, I can now at least hit the
chicane at a reasonable speed.

Hope this helps

In addition to system speed helping, I assume that you are driving over the
left-side curbing. At least for me, if I try to jink cleanly through then I
lose it; clipping the curbing gets me through with no upsets.

Try not lifting completely through the chicane.

If I don't lift, it's like flying a rocket through a keyhole!

He said "try not lifting completely."

Of course you have to lift a bit.  My only suggestion
is to keep the right as long as possible.  That will
give you more room to play with as you fly
through that keyhole :)

I use the Ferrari and can make it 9 times out of 10.

Jason.
