Wingman Formula Force loosing calibration?

by Sammy Fische » Thu, 24 Jun 1999 04:00:00

I own a Wingman Formula Force, and since I installed the 3.20 drivers it
looses the calibration of the accelerator pedal after some time :
instead of going up to 100% it stops at ca.80%.
taking the power plug from the wheel and putting it in (and then of
course recalibrating) helps, but it's a drag. Just recalibrating without
powering down the wheel doesn't work.

I only have Midtown Madness car-game/sim wise on my HD for the moment
(waiting impatiently for the GPL Patch though), so it may have something
to do with this game. I would reinstall the 3.12 drivers, but the
autocentering ability is just to usefull with the joystick, so if I can
avoid it, I would rather stay with the 3.20.

I tried contacting the Logitech Support, but for the last week or so the
status of my query has been something along the line 'this problem has
gone to senior support and you'll be contacted soon'

Anybody have/had this problem and knows a cure? (or at least can tell me
I'm not the only one ;)

bye,
Sammy

That's why Im so slow in GPL - I only have 80% of my throttle. ;-)

No, I didn't recognize something like that, but have to check at home.
Did you already get the final 3.20 drivers (no beta)?

Yes. Seems like Logitech Support has no idea either, as I didn't hear
anything more from them.
I suppose, I'll have to learn to drive better to equalize the loss of
accelerator;)

You can always calibrate it so that you don't press the throttle all the
way down to get 100% throttle. Dunno if it'll work but I used to do this
with a joystick I owned.
