Info needed on Nascar Racing 1999 Edition

by L Earwoo » Sun, 19 Dec 1999 04:00:00

I'm looking to get my father one of  the Nascar racing games for
Christmas this year.  I planned on getting him Nascar 2 but I then saw
"NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition" which included the Truck and Busch series
cars.  This was looking real good (ecspecially for $19) until I looked
at the specs on the box.  It said it had win 95/98 support and native
3dfx support.  So, does this mean no Direct3d?  I wasn't mentioned on
the box or the website.

They have one of those generic $300 computers with very limited 3d card
support, but a little is better than none.

So, does anyone know if Direct3d is supported?

Thanks in advance.

I believe I would be correct in saying that it does not support D3D.
However, the new version Nascar Racing 3, does support D3D and 3dfx.  And
it's a lot better version.  But if you find it on sale, it's still about
$40.00

I run it in D3D, works great.
