DSVD modems and NASCAR Racing...

Anybody using the new digital simultaneous voice and data modems with
NASCAR Racing?  My friend and I are and are plagued with computer
controlled car "jumpiness" and computer car phantom wrecks/spins ONLY
for the calling player... not bad at Taledega but impossible to race at
Bristol.  Any help from those who use these modems would be greatly
appreciated (we're using US Robotics 28.8 Vi DSVD internal modems).
