NCR2 bug at Bristol ?

Maybe I am just imagining this, but while tweaking out my settings at
bristol, I did damage a few opponents.  I actually heard them hit the
wall and being that it was a race the yellow did not come out.  After
about 4 incidents like this it finally did. This happen to anyone
else?   Thanks.

As I understand it, the game is much more lenient about throwing
cautions, and as long as the poor guy can get his car going again or at
least get out of the way, no yellow. I've had this sort of thing happen
at three or four different tracks now.

My experience has been, unless two or more cars are involved the yellow
doesn't fly.
Makes for a more realistic sim.  No more yellows for just swap'n paint

NCR2 bug at Bristol ?

I have a bug at Bristol........I was racing a 100% length race there
against 90% competition (i'm a beginner) and something really bizarre
happened.  I had noticed my spotter babbling something about a wreck in
the pits, but hadn't really noticed anything. I was then involved in a
wreck myself and had to go to the pits for repairs.  Meanwhile the race
was going to caution.  When the repairs were done I was ready to leave the
pit area and as I was exiting saw about 7 cars basically blocking the exit
to the pits and not going anywhere. (INCLUDING THE PACE CAR)  I turned
around and exited the pits through the entrance and proceeded to slowly
circle the track in hopes that the pace car would soon make its way onto
the track.  The cars that were on the track were not lining up like they
are supposed to on a caution.  Meanwhile my useless spotter is about to
have a heart attack telling me what car to stay behind, etc. as well as
his usual "go high, go low" jabbering.  After running about 10 slow laps
likethis I decided there was a problem and started running about 80MPH and
passing everybody just to see what would happen if I won the race in this
manner.  Unfortunately I became bored and got a little too careless
running 115 MPH and crashed into the back of an AI car and was knocked out
of the race.  As various other AI cars who were in the same group of pits
as me went in for gas/repairs, they too became trapped in the pits and by
the time I had left the race there were only 12 cars still running.  I
went to accelerate time and noticed that the cars in the pits were listed
as 100+ laps down, but still running.  After leaving the room to give the
sim time to finish I came back and noticed that it was still trying to
accelerate time, but none of the remaining active cars were moving (in the
pits) and the 12 who were running had finished.  Basically the sim was
locked up then and I had to exit and re-run the race.  Has anyone else
seen this??

This happens at other tracks also. The caution flag routines in N2 are
alot more lenient than in N1. I've ran several races in which cautions
never happened.

I had a similar problem at Sear Point. Two cars in the pits but shown as
running x laps down. Took 3 tries to finish a race.

N2 is a lot less likely to throw a caution flag for an incident. Single car
incidents, like when one car smacks the wall, generally don't bring out a
caution flag. The caution will usually come out if there are two cars
involved, or the player's car gets turned around and can't get going the
right direction again.

Actually, it has to do with the overall condition of the cars that are
wrecked; like, how many and which flats they have (I believe a car must
have one or more flats to certain tires, which make getting back to the
pits an extra challenge) and what other body damage has been incurred.
