in graham hill's 'life at the limit' he says that at monza in 67
(could have been 68, i'll have to read it again!), electronic timing
equipment was first used.  and that it broke, causing unrealistic laps
times to be posted, and everyone got their stopwatches out.

gpl coming even closer to reality?
