N4 and Windows 2000

I've tried running N4 on two separate machines running Windows 2000, but
it is so slow as to be unplayable.  Has anyone else experienced this
with this combo?  The machines have more than the minimum for CPU and
memory.

never beleive minimum specs...I would say a good system should begin at
1gig...I know I know folks will say their 800 or 650 runs just fine...but
believe me...speed ....or rather lack of speed from a cpu kills.
(I run an AMD xp1800+<1.53ghz> and I can still easily bog down the sim.)
The closer to 2ghz the better, PLUS at LEAST a 64 meg vid card.  Less will
work, but you are asking what it takes to run the sim properly.  Don't
skimp...

ps...certain video drivers seem to be os dependant, keep testing drivers til
you find a setting that works best with your machine.
