GP500 - Force Feedback problem

by Studs Ramro » Sat, 09 Oct 1999 04:00:00

I have a Logitech Wingman Formula Force steering wheel (serial port
version)
When playing GP500, the force feedback works fine....until you fall off
for the first time, then after rider has remounted, all force feedback
effects are non existent?
Obviously the answer to this problem is "dont fall off"!, but I'm not
that good at this sim yet, and fall of quite frequently :-)

Anyone else having this problem?, I've tried adding FORCEFEEDBACK=TRUE
line to GP500.ini, and upping the strength of feedack in GP500.ini as
well, but nothing makes a difference.
An Ideas?
Otherwise, I love this sim. Be great for someone to bring out some new
sounds for the bikes, as the packaged ones are a bit crap, and some
setups would'nt go a miss either - best I've done at Imola (only racing
on the one track till I get the hang of things) is 1:53, which is a good
5 seconds off the lap record.

cheers,

StudsR.

GP500 - Force Feedback problem

Did you already change the bike set-up. I bought the game yesterday and with
my Microsoft Freestyle Pro I was 6 seconds to slow on Donington.

But I think you can flip the bike much faster from left to right than with a
wheel.

But I know practising has to be done to be quick.

Keep racing.
