OK,,,when I check the date of my setup program in explorer by viewing with
file details it reports a date of 11/25/96...someone earlier said it should
be 11/27/96.  What's the deal.
And if I click on the setup file and a dos box appears it displays
setup v1.00 and then goes to the soundcard setup screen...what is the
correct version, 1.00 or 1.01?

You need to look at it in DOS or a DOS window.  It will show the
correct date.

you need to check it in DOS, as the instructions clearly state.

Yeah, thanks Drbob27.

And miraculously the dates change between explorer and DOS prompt!!
SAME RESULT.  I've got a date of 11/25/96 in explorer (and, strangely
enough DOS).

If anyone who KNOWS something about the subject could help out I'd much
appreciate it.

TIA

BTW: Right clicking on the Sierra Win95 install screen does nothing,
left clicking on the logo in the top left of the screen tells me:
SETUP.EXE  v3.1.0.1
SETUPL.DLL v3.1.0.0

You may have already discovered the answer to your problem, but...

The setup file in question is not the SETUP.EXE file in the NASCAR
directory, but the one in the SIERRA directory.  Double check the one in
the root directory of your CD-ROM.  This is also the one they are
referring to when the talk about the version number being displayed.

Ok Michael, you've helped me out a few time in the past - can you deal with
this?
My sierra setup is dated 4.15.96.  I get nothing if I right click on the
install screen in Win95.  If, however, I left click on the logo in the top left
of the screen I get:
setup.exe  - v3.1.0.1
setupl.dll - v3.1.0.0
Helpful, huh?
Know where else I can check for versions?

Thanks

Mark
