2002/LWFF/jerky RTs, BTDT?

      In 2002 my LWFF goes _very_ jerky in right turns (only).   The
real mystery - it works fine in GPL.  It's a FF thing, works fine if
FF is turned off.  One other peculiar thing - can't get the settings
profile in Win2000 to hold its' settings - they go away when you close
the window.  It's been like that since I got Win2000, but I didn't
care since GPL worked fine and the self-calibration (can't turn it
off) is only an annoyance.

Athlon 1.4/Soltek SL-75DRV4
DirectX 8.1
Geforce 2 PRO - 23.11 drivers
Hercules Fortissimo - latest drivers (gameport disabled)
LWFF - USB - latest drivers -4.11

      Anyone BTDT?  Any ideas?
