F1 2002 crashes to desktop

Hi.  I am having problems with F1 2002.  Every time I click "drive" after
the circuit loads, the game crashes back to the desktop.  I've tried lots of
stuff, reinstalled the game, changed display settings, etc.  My system has
the following setup:

AMD T-bird 1.2GHz
Iwill KK266
256 MB Ram
DVD-rom
CD-rw
Dual boot Win 98, XP pro
Radeon 64 DDR latest drivers
SBlive

It will not run in either Win 98 or Win XP, so I'm guessing its either
something related to my hardware or the game itself.  I looked for a
possible patch, but could not find anything.

Any help is appreciated

F1 2002 crashes to desktop

After playing around for a bit, I found out that the game will play in the
Driving School mode, but all other modes crash to the desktop.  BTW, there
are no error messages, the only indication of the game crashing is the
cursor suddenly on top of a black screen and then I am kicked to the
desktop.
