I too was having lots of random lockups in N4 (just installed today). It
appears the problems were caused by having Motherboard Monitor and Asus
SmartDoctor running in the background. Once I killed these, no more
problems! Hope this helps some of you guys.

yeah, The Smartdoctor can cause problems with it is left running in the
background.
