As long as no other more promising suggestions seem to be bubbling forth,
I'll suggest that you try re-installing your video card drivers again, being
extra careful to eliminate all current references to the current drivers.
If you're running the Nvidia reference drivers, after you've switched your
adapter to standard VGA, do a search for all files beginning with "nv" in
your Windows and Windows\System folders and delete them (well...if you're
feeling cautious, you might look at them first). Then run regedit.exe and
remove any reference to NVIDIA under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> SOFTWARE. Then
reboot and and try to load up the reference drivers from scratch. If all is
still well at that point, reinstall CMR2 and see if that does the trick. If
not, you'll have to keep waiting for the more clever people to show
themselves.
