Just read an interesting forum thread about some folks who ran the full 24
hours using this game.  I have heard the game isn't great, but it sounded
interesting to try.

So, a couple of questions...   Does the game actuallly change day to nite to
day again?  Does the weather change over the period of the race?  Anybody have
any experiance with the game?

A german pc-game-magazin rated the game at about 75%.
Despite that we bought the game cause we wanted to drive real 24 hours and
thought 75% cant be too bad.

But after a testdrive we imediately decided not to do the 24 hours because
physics and engine-sounds are a nightmare which you wouldnt survive for 24
hours.
day-nite-change is included, Im not sure about the weather.
You can do nearly the hole lap at full throttle (only drove the Porsche GT2
and Marcos so I dont know about the prototypes) and I tell you the only
challenge in driving the game for 24 hours is to stay awake behind the
wheel, cause its so boring.

The Playstation 2 version isn't too bad at all, and I've heard the original
Dreamcast version is outstanding,  but the port to PC, which I picked up a
year or two ago for like $2 new, stinks.

You can race the full 24 hours however, with day to night and back again!

Uh huh.  Had the DC and PS2 versions.  They are pretty much the
same, which results in a lower rating for the PS2 version given
that system's greater potential and the extra 2 or so years of
development they *could* have used.  Graphics are no better, they
added Road Atlanta, but load times were horridly annoying on the
PS2.  I played it fully on the DC and shelved the PS2 version.  No
experience with the PC version.

And yes, you can do the full 24 hrs and weather does change.  It
permits saves when pitting, so you don't have to run the full 24
consecutive hrs.

I would say the DC version is the better of the lot... had them all and
played them all... only one i stuck with was the DC.

You must have really liked it to buy all versions.
Maybe this game isn't as bad as some say?
