LeMans 24 Hours - Demo available!

From what I see on their website, it's just two .avi movies from the game, not
a playable demo.  :(  I'm not gonna even bother in that case.  I would rather
have just 2 laps at Le Mans even compared to just movie files.

On Sun, 12 Sep 1999 01:39:39 +0200,

hehe.. It looks like they have gotten LeMans to 'officially sanction'
the Alps!

Read this:
"Le Mans 24 Hours" roars to the virtual race course this fall,
delivering a realistic racing sensation of 200 mph heart-stopping
action on the PC and Sony PlayStation. Gamers compete on official Le
Mans sanctioned courses including locations in the French Alps and
landmarks like the famous Dunlop Bridge."

LeMans 24 Hours - Demo available!

Ok movies, no sweat... I like movies: they wet my appetite.

Not so with these examples though... my question is..... where is the track?
Very few shots in those videos actually remotely resemble the track. Urban
settings?? Canyons? Tunnels?? -Talk about artistic liberty

While the Le Mans circuit is by no means in the middle of nowhere, the
setting is rather typical French countryside. Slightly scorched grassland
mixed with some woodland. Nothing like anything shown in these video's....
the curbs are wrong, the sandtraps are wrong and the tyre walls are wrong
(should be blue / yellow... or is that the Boule d'Or??).

Is this a game representing the Le Mans 24 hour race or just a game based on
GT1 racecars with a fancy name tacked on?
