GP3 - Throtle always on?

GP3 - Throtle always on?

Has anyone else noticed this, or is there a setting I'm missing
somewhere?
The throttle in GP3 is always slightly "on", and the car naturally wants
to drive along at around 19mph. This is a bit annoying when, for example
you're trying to recover from a spin and you'd like the car to roll back
around but it won't.

I've had this problem with a TMF1, MSFF and the keyboard, so I don't
think it's a controller problem. Any other ideas?

it's called tickover. It happens in all real cars. The answer is select
neutral or press the clutch.

Too bad you can't assign a button for the clutch as most of us only have 2
pedals... :((

Hold down the gear lever (not press) and it acts as a clutch.

Wish GP3 throttle always on thing was tickover - it's actually a
miscallibration problem with MSFF wheels - it thinks you've got the
throttle part way down all the time.

(Anyone thinking it's tickover - you don't _accelerate_ with
tickover).

I'm waiting until it works with my hardware until I fully judge GP3
since callibration split axis and FF don't work properly with my wheel.
You wouldn't have thought the MSFF was an obscure wheel would you.

It does this on my ACTLabs non-force wheel. I think its tickover.

it is tickover...

F1 sim pedals here....

a real engine would stall in 1st if you werent moving, so the anti stall
keeps the revs up and you go forward in 1st...

hmmm thx Graeme, I thought it was only me and the fact that split axis
doesn't work.
My wants to roll when I put it in 1st, but not in the pits, only when I
accelerate then stop does it want to roll with partial throttle.

It happens with my TSW2Mod wheel too. After I've stopped, I put in 1st
and the car rolls along with out any input from me.

It is normal for all cars to do it, just think first gear is engaged and the
engine is turning!

If it happens with the keyboard then it's nothing to do with any particular
controller.
