Upgrading any suggestions.....for sims (NROS)

Currently have P-200 with 64 ram, Voodoo2 w/ 12 mb.

90% of my computer use is auto sims.  Nascar on NROS in particular, with a
little NBA, GP2 and Madden the other 10%.

I'm looking to upgrade soon.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm
fairly PC illiterate although I built my currrent PC from the ground up. Heck a
monkey could do it I guess.  What main board?  I'm looking to get 450mhz P-2
chip.  Is the Voodoo2 with 12 megs okay?  I use my Rendition V1000 for 2D.
Should I make sure it has 100 mhz bus?  As you can tell any info. will be
appreciated.  I use TEN for my Nascar connection I was told Mind Spring will
give me a better connection and be cheaper and works best with US Robotics
56K.....is this true?

Thanks alot!

You really should use either an Asus P2B or Abit BX6/BH6 motherboards, there
the 2 best out there.
Make sure you get some good PC100 SDRAM for the 100 bus speed.
Voodoo2 is fine, but you may want to replace the old Rendition V1000 with
like a Hercules Thriller Rendition V2200 AGP board.
If you use AOL, yea any ISP will give you a better connection, just make
sure that the ISP supports the 56k modem you get, either X2 or Flex. For
example Mindspring supports x2 so you probably would want to get a 3com/US
Robotics V.90/x2 modem for that ISP.
If you can afford it go with a SCSI hard drive and cdrom. If not the Seagate
Medalist Pro is the fastest UDMA drive out there running at 7200rpm.
And a nice full tower to top things off like an Inwin Q500 ATX case.

I have a Dell P2 400 w/ Win98.  I had problems with the sound config the first time
I installed it, but I jst reinstalled it and it flies.  I run N2, ICR2, MTM2, and
GPL demo with no problems.  I don't know what ppl were talking about when they said
GPL demo wouldn't work on Win98, it's fine for me (maybe it's that they have the
upgrade).
