F1RS-VooDoo Card ?

When I went to download the Demo version of F1RS its says it 's
minimum requirements  is a VooDoo Graphics Card?

Is that true? I have a HP P166 with a S3 card. It seems this sim has a lot
of followers and I'm surprised at its requirements?

What about it ? Anyone out there running  F1RS with a basic pentium
without one of the high end graphics cards ?

The Voodoo Graphics card is needed for the demo of F1RS (it utilizes the
GLide API).  The full retail version has a D3D option which is a protocol
some S3 chips will run.  From what I understand, though, its that you still
need a 4MB graphics chip even for the D3D.  This may make F1RS unplayable
on your system. You may want to consider a vodoo graphics card (Canopus
Pure 3D, Diamond Monster 3D, etc.) especially for all the games which are
being released these days.

There are several sims out there which require a Voodoo.  At a bare minimum
for new sims your system should be able to at least support D3D.  You may not
like it...but it may be time to buy some new pieces...
